INSULATION: POLYETHYLENE
SIZES: 14 AWG - 10 AWG AND 2.5 mm², SOLID, 2 CONDUCTOR 
1.0 SCOPE:
1.1 This specification covers single conductor insulated wire sizes 14 AWG, through 10 AWG, utilizing low density high molecular weight polyethylene insulation, twisted, suitable for direct burial applications for operation up to 600 volts and conductor temperatures up to 60°C. Listed by UL or ETL or CSA.
     
2.0 CONSTRUCTION:
2.1 Conductor:
Soft drawn bare copper meeting the requirements of ASTM specification B-3 or B-8.
     
2.2 Temperature Rating:
-55ºC +66ºC
     
2.3 Insulation:
Insulation thickness shall be 0.060”. Conductor colors are as follows and shall be twisted with a 4" lay.

2.4 Manufacturer's Identification:
Surface marked with Paige-Electric, PE- 60, voltage rating, size and type, and Listing file number, RoHS
2.5 Listing:
  All cables shall be tested physically and electrically in accordance with UL Standard 493, and 83 (paragraphs 28.1, 29.1 and 29.2). All reels and cartons bear UL labels.
   
2.6 Splicing Recommendations:
Wire splices are the weak link of any electrical circuit. It is especially important to make proper joints in irrigation systems because the joints are exposed to wet and damp environments that can cause corrosion of the copper conductor, and premature failure. Paige Electric recommends the strict use of Model DBR/Y-6, as manufactured by the 3M Company (Paige specification P7364D)
